Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine and can be used by any person, for a wide range of symptoms, whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or behavioural. Homeopathy is particularly known to help manage on-going chronic complaints, and can be a valuable option for those seeking additional support alongside or beyond conventional care. People often come across homeopathy for the first time after they have tried everything else!
A growing body of research has examined the effectiveness of homeopathy compared to conventional medicine and placebo, and studies have found homeopathy to be associated with a lower risk of adverse side effects (Stub et al., 2022 — see Published Study References below).
Homeopathy can be used alongside your conventional medicines and other treatments.
See the About page and Resource page for more information.

The first consultation takes about 1-1.5 hours.
The follow-up consultation is about 30-45 mins (usually around 4 weeks later, although may need to be sooner).
See the About page - What to Expect in Your Consultation section for more information.
What happens in a consultation session?
At your first appointment you can expect us to talk a lot. I will ask you questions about your life, health, sleep, diet, and medical history. If you are new to homeopathy, the consultation will seem very different to your other medical appointments and is much longer (about 1-1.5 hours). I might have unusual questions that your doctor never asked so I can get to know what makes you uniquely you.
See About page - What to Expect in Your Consultation section for further information.
How many consultations will I need?
Homeopathic treatment involves a gradual process of change towards better health and wellbeing. However, results can also be quick and you can feel far better in a short period of time. The number of consultations you may need depends on factors such as your age, how long the symptoms have been going on, and your individual response to treatment. I will design your treatment plan and timeframes in consultation with you based on your unique case and how I can best support your healing journey.

What can homeopathy help with?
Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine and can be used for a wide range of ailments and symptoms, whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or behavioural. For example:
Acute conditions, first aid and every-day ailments e.g. colds, coughs, sports injuries, cuts, bruises, etc.
Chronic conditions e.g. headaches, digestive health, skin complaints, sleep, reproductive health, etc.
Homeopathy is particularly known to help manage on-going chronic complaints, and can be a valuable option for those seeking additional support alongside or beyond conventional care. People often come across homeopathy for the first time after they have tried everything else!
Published studies have examined the effectiveness of homeopathy for different ailments. You can find a list of recommended reading in the Published Study References below. Also see our Resources page for further information and links to other homeopathic research.
Homeopathy is based on the principle of "like cures like". While a substance can cause symptoms when taken in large amounts, it can be used in small doses to treat similar symptoms. Homeopathy is a complementary medicine that has been practised for over 230 years, and is used regularly by over 200 million people worldwide (Prasad, R. Homoeopathy booming in India. The Lancet, 2007; 370, 1679–1680).
The scientific evidence for homeopathy is based on the same types of clinical trials as those used to test conventional medical treatments. A growing body of research has examined the effectiveness of homeopathy compared to conventional medicine and placebo. Examples of specific medical conditions included in the studies are upper respiratory tract infections, vertigo, headaches, lower back pain, insomnia, sinusitis, dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, musculoskeletal disorders, sleep problems, anxiety, IBS, menopausal symptoms, arthritis, chronic fatigue, and depressive disorders (see Published Study References below).
Studies also show that homeopathic treatment is associated with a reduction in use of conventional medications (e.g. antibiotics and pain relief) (see Published Study References below).
Also see Resources page for further information about and links to homeopathic research.

Can I use homeopathy with medicines my doctor has given me?
Yes, homeopathic and conventional approaches can be used successfully alongside one another in an integrated health approach. In fact, many countries have successfully integrated homeopathy into their public healthcare systems (see Published Study References below).
It is recommended that you maintain your relationship with your GP and specialists. It is important to discuss changes to prescribed medication from your doctor with your homeopath, as well as let your doctor know if there are any changes in symptoms. You should not stop any medication until you have discussed it with your prescribing doctor. It can be dangerous to suddenly stop taking prescribed conventional medicines.
Are there any side effects?
Homeopathy has an excellent safety record. The most recent systematic review and meta-analysis (which is a review of multiple independent studies) assessing the safety of homeopathic medicines concludes that:
“…the proportion of patients experiencing adverse effects was significantly higher when receiving conventional medicine and herbs, compared to patients receiving homeopathy.” (Stub, T et al. Adverse effects in homeopathy. A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies. Explore, 2022; 18, 114–128).
You can find a list of recommended reading in the Published Study References below. Also see our Resources page for further information and links to homeopathic research.
Homeopathic remedies can cause temporary aggravation of symptoms, please discuss any changes or concerns with your homeopath. Long term use of remedies not suited to your particular case can cause unwanted side effects. It is recommended that you discuss any home-prescribing with your homeopath.
Homeopathic remedies are prepared by specialist homeopathic pharmacies. Please discuss your needs with your homeopath who may be able to provide you with other remedies, first aid kits, travel kits, etc, or can recommend a homeopathic pharmacy near to you. Please note that some remedies in some countries are not available to the general public and need a prescription / order from a qualified homeopath.
Your local health shop or conventional pharmacy may sell a small range of homeopathic products, such as Arnica cream for aching muscles and bruises, sleep and calm remedy blends, cough remedy blends, and tissue salts.
